Haircuts for BarkAID 50 States Tour
10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
718 E 5th St., Ste. 200, Metropolis
Master Hairstylist Patrick Lomantini is bringing his BarkAID 50 State Tour back to Metropolis to help homeless animals.
During the national event, Lomantini, along with local hair stylists, provide at least 50 haircuts in each of the 50 states in just 50 days.
For a $20 minimum donation, you can get a haircut and the proceeds will benefit Project Hope No-Kill Animal Shelter.
Two stylists will be available, and prizes will be given away. There will be pampering prize package giveaway, one for people and one for pets. Also Project Hope will be selling their Bark For Life raffle tickets for a chance to win up to $10,000.
Appointments are expected to fill quickly, so call Headlines Salon at 618-524-4245 to reserve your spot!
Project Hope will have animals to adopt, and several local restaurants will offer specials and donate a portion of their sales.
The Southern Spread, Just Like Mama’s and Fat Edd’s have agreed to donate a portion of their proceeds that day to Project Hope.
Sonic will donate 10% of sales between 7-10 a.m. on Aug. 15. Southern Spread is offering a $10 spud, dessert and drink deal. Just Like Mama’s is offering a “Sunday” dinner (1 piece chicken, chicken & dressing, 2 sides, cornbread, peach cobbler and a drink) on Monday for $12. Both restaurants will donate a portion of their sales. Fat Edd’s customers can drop their receipts in their box all day on Aug. 15 and 10% of ticket sales will go to Project Hope.
This is the second year that Headlines Salon has partnered with Project Hope for this benefit.
Headlines owner, Linda Ohmes, says, “Make your appointments early, and together we will help save animals in our community!”
Walk-ins are also welcome.
