The Metropolis City Swimming Pool opens on June 5th, and will be open through Summer until school starts back up. The last day of the pool season will be on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 3rd from 1-5 p.m.
Regular Swim Hours:
Mon.–Sat. Noon–4:45 p.m.
Sun. 1–4:45 p.m.
6 and over: $1.50
Ages 5 and under: Free.
Individual Pass: $25
Family Pass: $20 per person (living under same roof)
If you owe the City of Metropolis for your electric bill, that amount will be added to the cost of your pass. Information on other pool activities will follow this one.

The class has open enrollment, and you sign up the first time you attend. End time not available yet, but will last at least 8 weeks. Certified instructor is Tonya Bell.

Students report Monday, June 18th at 8 a.m. wearing swim suits, for testing and registration. Cost is $25 per student. Lessons last 6 weeks.
Free Adult Laps Only Swim
Starts Wednesday, June 20
Wed. & Sat. 10-11 a.m.
There is no cost, but it is laps only. Do not bring your children to this, as the lifeguards will be busy working during that time.
The Pool is available for parties each evening after closing. The cost is $50 per hour. They provide the lifeguards, and you provide everything else. The parties start at 7 p.m. on Monday and Thursday nights, after water aerobics. The rest of the weeknights, the parties start at 6 p.m. Maximum party time is 2 hours. Call to reserve a date.
Sunday, August 12, 1-5 p.m.
Free admission and free food on the last day of the pool season. Bear on the Air, Shane Parker, will be on site grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. Chips, drinks and popsicles will also be provided.
