Message in a Bottle Exhibit

River Discovery Center, 117 S. Water St., Paducah, Ky.
This exhibit features rare, message-in-a-bottle memorabilia. These were found along the Mississippi River and other U.S. rivers. Each message in a bottle has been housed in its own handmade box of reclaimed wood, also found during river cleanups. A photo of each bottle’s handwritten message is displayed along with the date and city/state of discovery when known. For details, click here.

Due to the fact there have been two school shootings in the last two days, Metropolis Police  Dept. will host a town hall type meeting to address concerns from the First Responder point of view and also to address concerns from the parents of students. This will also be open to the public.
