There will be gospel and country music sung by local artist and choirs, food, and a silent auction. 100% of the money raised will go to Clarissa Johnson and her family, with medical bills that she will be having. Clarissa had surgery on December 10th to remove a blood clot in the middle of her brain. It was a success, and she is doing well. Held by Brookport First Responders.

This program will explore feelings of depression that happen in the winter months. A distinction will be made on the severity of the “blues” and all levels of negative emotions will be included. The type of reasons why these feelings occur and some basic ideas on combating them will be covered, as well. This will be open to anyone, especially those who feel “down” during the winter months. Everyone is welcome to join in this project to help end hunger.  Materials will be provided to make a bowl.  The Empty Bowls organization gathers bowls from artists, students and community members that they have made and pair those with wonderful foods made by local restaurants.  All of the proceeds every year go to feed people who truly have empty bowls.
